How does Class Project App grade group projects fairly?

You create a project and import your roster. Each student privately allocates a percentage of the total work to every teammate, rates them on a five-point fair-share scale, and rates themselves last. The app converts those ratings into a contribution index for each student and proposes an individual grade adjustment within a range you set. You review every result and decide what to publish. Nothing is released to students automatically.

Department and institution site licenses are priced on active instructor seats and billed annually, from $749 for a department of up to 10 seats to $29,999 for a system of up to 1,500 seats.

What student data does Class Project App collect?

Student name and school email address only. That is the complete set. Student data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. It is used solely to run the evaluation and deliver results to the teacher.

How does it handle free riders and students who inflate their own contribution?

The percentage allocation is zero-sum, so a student cannot claim a larger share without taking it from a teammate. Self-assessment comes last in the student flow to reduce over-rating of one's own effort, and the gap between a student's self-rating and the average rating received from peers is surfaced to the teacher as coaching information that never affects the grade. Retaliation pairs, mutual-high pairs and clique patterns are flagged for review.
